Greetings!
I’m Jennifer M. Baldwin, fiction writer and blogger.
My monthly newsletter delivers random thoughts about fantasy literature and cinema, table-top role-playing games, 1980s and 90s nostalgia, and musings on what it’s like to be a fantasy writer working and publishing today.
My tastes in fantasy fiction are eclectic. I like everything from sword and sorcery to weird fantasy to magical realism, from epic high fantasy to gritty low, and all points in between. I might write an ode to hobbits or a review of Fred Saberhagen’s The Broken Lands. I might analyze all the ways Jim Henson’s The Storyteller was The Best Thing Ever, or defend Kevin Costner’s performance in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, or wax poetical about the genius of Ursula K. LeGuin. My interests are broad and my newsletter is too.
I want to keep my newsletter free for all readers, so whether you join with a paid subscription or not, you’ll still get my fantasy fiction musings dropped into your inbox every month. But for those who want to add extra support to what I do (and help feed my kids), there is a paid subscription option that gets you access to ARCs (advanced reader copies) of my upcoming book releases.
And whether you go paid or not, all subscribers will get updates about my latest stuff: new releases, special deals, upcoming projects (and even some freebies).
This newsletter is a place to talk about fantasy fiction and all the ways we love it, and if that sounds like fun, I hope you’ll join us!
